The idea for Fomentocuba.com came from wanting to reconnect, to seek long lost friends, and on the way, make plenty of new ones.

There are similar pages on the Web, but none quite like ours, specific and founded on familiarity. With your support and patronage, we will always work to make the Fomentocuba.com experience more useful and efficient, and to make our website another convenient way to communicate. We are constantly improving the page.

The municipality is divided into the barrios of Fomento, Güinia de Miranda and Jíquimas. It is located in the middle of the island, and was founded in 1864.

Fomento is a cheerful city filled with hardworking, welcoming people who span the world. It’s for you that we want to make this website a home away from home.

We offer our members free registration and photo downloads, music to share among members and visitors, and in the future, a news outlet to reach our friends in Cuba, read about our hometowns, and our families and friends.
